Filesystem is a small, light Java framework that makes working with file paths and trees easier. It is released under the GNU Lesser Public License.
There is a short story introducing Filesystem.
You can include Filesystem into your Maven-based Java projects with the following coordinates:
<dependency> <groupId>com.quigley</groupId> <artifactId>filesystem</artifactId> <version>0.0.2</version> </dependency>
Similar functionality now exists in the class library shipped with Java version 7. See the Path class for more information.
However, the tree-based functionality (FilesystemIterator and the operations) is still quite useful. Perhaps a future version of Filesystem will embrace and embellish the new Java 7 components.
